“My name is Julia van den Hout, a daydreamer in life and very ambitious professionally.
My work revolves around rediscovering the everyday and revealing the poetry hidden in small moments that go by often unnoticed. Like sunbeams through trees or my obsession with clouds. I capture intimate and tight glimpses of life, shedding new light on the beauty found in the ordinary.
Light and shadow form the core of my visual language. I dive into my own fascinations obsessions and translate them into something cinematic and atmospheric. Work you not only see, but also feel.
It’s a continuous journey in which I use photography to inspire a sense of wonder and invite people to look at their surroundings in a new way. To become more positive and romanticise the small things.”
